ABOUT ME

I am a San Francisco-based artist. I build systems people can inhabit — interactive installation, light, sound, computation, robotics, and fabricated environments — and I use engineering as both material and method. The work history below is the technical record of that practice, not a separate identity.

My background is in electrical engineering. I have worked across embedded systems, firmware, software, computer graphics, mechanical design, and electronics, including safety-critical neural interfaces and real-time visualization. I have led engineering teams and routinely work at the hardware/software boundary, from concept through deployment.

When an existing medium cannot express the thing I am trying to build, I often construct the instrument first. The same habits show up in the jobs as in the installations: constraints, interfaces, failure modes, and a willingness to learn the domain the problem is actually in.

I am open to technical contract roles while I pursue my artistic career.
